FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Tulsa Chiropractor Provides Free Care for Returning Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans
Jason F. Schluter, DC, of Tulsa, Oklahoma has joined doctors of chiropractic from around the United States that have answered the call to participate in a new initiative aimed at supporting America’s newest returning veterans with immediate access to chiropractic services, in addition to the limited programs officially available through the US Department of Defense.
Out of a desire to serve and to fill a vitally important health care gap, chiropractic physicians around the nation have extended an offer of care for one full year for any US military veteran returning from overseas deployment in Afghanistan and Iraq, at no charge.
Tens of thousands of US military personnel are being rotated back to the US, many to civilian life, and others stateside deployment. All have been subjected to exceptional strain, with a new pattern of injury and trauma. The impact of war on the human body and soul has been given much consideration over the years by chiropractic leaders. Doctors of chiropractic believe they offer a unique asset, through the power of a chiropractic adjustment, as returning veterans strive to recover and restore their lives physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
Dr. Schluter welcomes the opportunity to participate in this program. He says, “Having family members currently serving in the military we know first-hand the physical and emotional toll the body endures. I believe it is vital for our soldiers to receive the care they need and deserve. It is a privilege to give to those who have given so much for our country and I feel honored to participate in this program.”
